My first attempt at FAangband. I must say I loved it! It is one of the best new variants I have tried. I love the theme and the idea of jumping from dungeon to dungeon in the first age. The wilderness travelling can get a bit monotonous especially if you screw up your recall points. I learned the hard way to keep two recall points for each dungeon in case you save over one by mistake. DSMs have been totally fixed, I wore one for most of the game unlike other band versions. Check out my current PDSM!!!! I think one of the best armours I've found in any version ever. Rings and amulets have also been fixed and I like the idea of being able to uncurse the bad ones and wear them for some benefit. They seem to be a bit too abundant for IDíng purposes. I didn't want to miss any good ones so I didn't destroy them automatically. Speaking of which I love the squelch system. It makes life much easier.

I found the final battle with Morgy tougher than usual because he would destroy all the rocks around me and surround me with ancient dragons causing me to teleport around after my genocide scrolls finished to get away from them. I would just wait for Morgy to tunnel towards me and whack him some more then repeat.

I love the stackable resistances and always wanted this incorporated into Angband. Also the automatic damage calculation in the description of each weapon is useful. I found the black market to be totally useless. Was this intentional to stop townscumming? Although there are multiple towns like in ZangbandTk it's not worth visiting them all regularly to find good items.

I wore that ring of power because I already had elec IMM from my weapon. I'm not sure about the previous power rings, I haven't played prior versions of FA. All the speed rings I found were not worth wearing. The best speed bonuses were on non-speed rings :)
