I visited Australia for 6 weeks in HS, and I was in Scotland for XMas one year. It wasn't a very difficult extrapolation....

Of course, I'm nothing but a 5th generation Pommie, decorating with snowflakes for XMas, even though the weather here at XMas is comparable to that in, say, Manchester.

Except this year, when it was bloody cold all winter, and it has been bloody hot this summer.

Seattle temp hit 105 degrees today; the trees are whistling for the dogs.
Old temp record was 98, set on July 28 2009. Record before that was set on July 27.

I'm thinking of moving to LAs Vegas for the temperate weather. (At least it's cool indoors!)

Whereas I am faced with Indian Summer two months early.

The tomato plant is unamused at the wiles of the wintry jet stream.
