Ah, Manchester is like that from what I can tell from the weather. Luckily I've run away to Sweden for a few months, where it's been pretty consistently warm even if not hot.

Wow, that nearly exactly the opposite of where I live. Here in San Antonio, Winter is a random two-week period somewhere between mid-November and mid-April. Actually I guess it's usually closer to one week.

There was a guy from my college who was from Australia and he said that even though Christmas is in the summer there, they still use snowflakes and winter-themed stuff for Christmas decorations. Is that true? That's pretty weird.

One Christmas we had snow, then it melted and hit a high of 75 or 80. Then it was hot until mid february, where it got to freezing until march.

Very odd.
