I didn't bother to make an issue on github since i figured it is on developement and it's logical to have those issues.

Anyway, the game looks good and i can't wait to try a stable release.
Thanks. I'm keeping it able to compile at each commit, because I've found from bitter experience that not doing that makes life difficult

      Latest update
      • should have the randarts and jewellery actually working
      • implements most of different shops across different towns
      • mostly implements player race monsters
      • handles monster movement through new terrain
      • sets up for different spawning rates for monsters depending on location

It's still not really what I'd call playable. There is still tidying up to be done on most of the above stuff, plus the big three are still to be done - artifacts, ego-items and monsters.

Been playing the 2.0 beta on angband live. Not sure if this is where you want bug reports, but I've encountered two issues so far.

When I attempted to blind-read Deep Descent scroll it crashed game. I guess because I was in wilderness? Gave one to shop owner to figure out which one it was.

One of my starts failed to place the eastern stairs in Belegost to get to Mountain (Lvl 9).

As for the difficulty we spoke about earlier, it does seem like I do more damage than in FA, but it also seems like there are more monsters with nastier attacks, so it kind of evens out? At least I'm dying just as often, but I'm still a noob. I'd say I've played the first FA around 5-7 hours, so I'm no expert.

Yes, they probably need to be removed.

Yes, I've had that a couple of times too; looks like the latest town generation method doesn't play nicely with FA town paths. I have a tentative plan to make the FA towns distinct and load in some way from data files.

Good to know. I suspect the main problem is that criticals are too frequent and good, and possibly hitting monsters generally is too easy.
