      Latest update has specialty abilities implemented (except Extra Trap, for which I need to do monster traps first).

      I'll be doing bits and pieces here and there, but will probably not do any more extensive work on this until V4.2.1 is out.

        Thanks, yes.

        Also, latest version has all the race and class abilities implemented too. This includes monster traps, but excludes a few that I've ditched because of overlap with V features that I wanted to keep, or because they were Assassin abilities that no longer fit.

          Has the wizard mode resurrection issue been fixed?
          I remember vanilla FAangband 1.44 had this issue and resurrected characters by wizard mode would respawn in town with negative health and die instantly.

            Not fixed exactly - more should not happen because the code is completely different. So all old bugs should be gone, but expect new ones

              Oh yes, i forgot that FAangband 2 uses 4.2 as basis. So now bug fixing would be almost cross game too.

                Yes, I'm keeping new FA up to date with changes from V.

                  Latest update includes percentage resistances. It doesn't exactly break savefiles, but it does make objects with resistances in old savefiles look a bit silly (immunities become 97% resistance, resistances become 99% resistance, vulnerabilities become 1% vulnerable).

                  At this stage all resists are 40%, and all vulnerabilities are 30%. The next major thing I'm planning to implement is randarts/jewellery, which will open up the resistance landscape a bit.

                  EDIT: Actually no, vulnerabilities either become immunities or make the game crash

                    A hell. I find cumulative resistances to be too much of a treasure hunt. I don't recall this change being much discussed?

                          Note that I would not recommend anyone actually trying to play this at the moment - it's unstable and unbalanced, and liable to be upgraded in a savefile-breaking way at any time. At some point before too long I will be encouraging play-testing, but that point has not been reached.

                                I managed to build and test the game last week. I compiled it on linux and had to do a minimal change on the source code in order to get it compiled. It mostly played fine but some things didn't work like the wizard mode, the world map etc..
                                I didn't bother to make an issue on github since i figured it is on developement and it's logical to have those issues.

                                Anyway, the game looks good and i can't wait to try a stable release.
