    1) I am not entirely sure what you mean. The number of blows you get with a weapon depends on the weight of the weapon, your strength and your dexterity, plus magical attributes like extra attacks. It does not depend on your skill level with that weapon. Mindcrafters have a class cap of 5 blows per weapon per round plus magical extra blows; that cap is the same for all weapons except poison needles (though it's impossible to actually reach that cap with extremely heavy weapons like maces of disruption, due to their weight). Weapon versatility will not change that. (Poison needles always get exactly 1 blow per round, regardless of your class.)

    2) Eldritch Horror is highly annoying but usually not very dangerous, especially if you have a high saving throw and/or good free action, rConf and rChaos. (I suspect it might be more dangerous in an ironman run because the negative mutations it sometimes gives, in particular the moron mutation, can't be cured as easily.) Eldritch Horror resistance is convenient but not a commonly selected demigod power.

    3) Evasion gives a 100% chance to "avoid" breath attacks, as well as rockets and rocks; however, it does not allow you to escape the attack completely, it only reduces the damage by a random amount that varies between 11% and 20%.

      Any clue when you will unleash the updated version from Angband Live to the public?


      Odd bug over on Live. Auto pickup on, copper coins give a typical message, "you collect xxx" BUT Silver coins, "You carefully avoid touching the pile of silver coins." and yet they are picked up just fine.

        The next official release will likely be two weeks or a week and a half from now, around the time comp 217 ends, so Gwarl can use it for comp 218.

        What should happen on a werewolf (because werewolves can't touch silver) is that you don't get any money, but the silver coins vanish because that's less annoying than getting the message "You carefully avoid touching the pile of silver coins" for the same pile repeatedly. If you're actually getting $$$ from the silver coins that's a bug.

          Found Ring of Combat (+10;+8), but in weapon statistic window i cant see any changes while wearing it. What does this ring actually do?

            It's +10 melee to-hit and +8 melee to-dam, but it only affects the weapon in that same hand; so my guess is that your weapon is in your right hand and the combat ring is on your left hand, and that's why you're not receiving any benefits.

              My weaponmaster (shields) is getting "icky wield" with an artifact mithril shield.

              Specifically, not getting the AC bonus, unable to use class powers.

              Which is too bad. It's a nice shield.

                  Ah, the coins were vanishing, so I assumed they were picked up. I seldom pay real attention to coin drops.
                  The Silver/Werewolf connection never occurred to me.

                  Since the Werewolf and Ninja weren't playing well together I ended up dropping the char. No surprise attack and backstabs, so, meh.

                    I can see a werewolf ninja spending practically all his time in human form. Many of the advantages of wolf shape - speed, stealth, solid melee, monster detection, leaping - are things that ninjas get anyhow.

                      Exactly. wolf form became a detriment, more than a boon. Especially with all the shapeshift issues. While my daggers and bow came back, the Quiver and all its contents were lost in limbo.

                        That's really bizarre, because werewolves have a quiver slot even in wolf shape, so there should be no way for the quiver (or its contents) to land in limbo to begin with. No bad things have ever happened to the quiver in any of my werewolf games, and I can't even imagine what would cause that to happen, short of a bug that makes the entire game crash midway through equipment-handling.

                          The Quiver actually vanished from slot 'd' but is visible in slot 'k' as a wolf. Test char has since died...

                          Did notice one other thing about WWolves, Martial Artists, with a shield in the off-hand and an empty main-hand, switch to wolf and back the Shield is in the main hand and they are encumbered.

                            Thank you. You are right about it. My demigod mindcrafter of Hera is about to hit level 20 so i have more questions about demigod special power. First of all in help manual i want to see more numerical description. For example, Fell Sorcery. Is it just strengthen (by what percentage?) my direct damage spell or it also make it harder to make saving throw from? Is it affect mindcrafter spells too? How big is armor bonus in Untouchable power? Is weapon mastery affect only accuracy?

                              If you mean weapon versatility (the only weapon foo on the list) it means you can reach master in all weapon proficiencies. That is just accuracy. A warrior will already reach master, don't bother unless it's a bad melee class & you want to melee anyway or you want to master the bows.

                                But what anout Fell Sorcery and mindcraft spells? Does it work or just waste of tallent?
