    Isn't there a save against it, since a few versions back?

      I think there's still a save against the dispel player move, even in the 6.1.x+ release
      My best try at PosChengband 7.0.0's nightmare-mode on Angband.live:

      If I'm offline I'm probably in the middle of maintaining Gentoo or something-Linux or other.

        Link please, I've lost track of the updates somewhat.

        EDIT: mspells1.c still looks unresistable except for three rare cases.

        Code:
                /* RF4_DISPEL */
                case 96+2:
                {
                    if (!direct) return (FALSE);
                    disturb(1, 0);
                    if (blind) msg_format("%^s mumbles powerfully.", m_name);
                    else msg_format("%^s invokes a dispel magic.", m_name);
                    if (check_foresight())
                    {
                    }
                    else if (mut_present(MUT_ONE_WITH_MAGIC) && one_in_(2))
                        msg_print("You resist the effects!");
                    else if (psion_mental_fortress())
                        msg_print("Your mental fortress is impenetrable!");
                    else
                    {
                        dispel_player();
                        if (p_ptr->riding) dispel_monster_status(p_ptr->riding);
                        learn_spell(MS_DISPEL);
                    }
                    break;
                }

          Nothing really to do with the variant of the same name. Just makes the game quicker by giving you stuff.

            @cold_heart - I found what I was thinking off & it's specific to mimics holding their form.

            Has anyone else had an issue with improving weapon skills on a dragon? I'm not sure if it was an intentional change but I can't seem to get above +1 & I'm at clvl 18 & melee-ing around half the time.

              It would be nice if it was called something different ("quick mode")?

              I think the reference to Quickband as such may cause some ongoing confusion.

                  I'm just here to say that I'm glad that stuff like this is still possible. Winning is one to way find enjoyment, but I'll take dying in style winning every time.

                      The ability to follow teleports isn't some separate property. Any monster that's able to cast "teleport self" can follow you, unless (in a rare show of mercy for PCB) it resists teleportation -- every monster in the game can be escaped with either teleport or teleport-other (or both).

                      Antimagic effectively sets your saving throw to a huge number, and blood curses check saving throw. So yes it helps.

                        There's a funny pricing bug in 6.1.0:

                          Honestly it should probably be made an explicit property, or explicitly stated in recall.

                            I thought it was, though, at least for the latter.

                            Maybe something got missed when chris redid monster recall?
                            Everything you need to know about my roguelike playstyle:

                            I took nearly two years to win with a single character in PosChengband.

                              [9] Lots of oook requests addressed. You can do a git shortlog v6.1.0...v6.0.5 to see the details, but the following is worth mentioning: Press '@' at an object prompt to temporarily stop using inscriptions to override label choices.
                              ...
                              Thanks for hard work! Had this request also been given any attention so far?

Would be great if necromancers could send their army at specified location, and it sounds kind of logical to have this function since you are in control your army.
