Thanks!
That would be great. There are no grave complains agains gold2 so far (Arralen has given up, apparently), so it may stay the stable version of Un for a long time. Till gold3 or even directly 0.6.3beta.Comment

Just shifted my attention elsewhere temporarily
Acutally, what else could I do?
The game still crashes, if less, though, but the WinDbg debugger does not like the debugging version of the game ... therefore I'm at a loss somehow.
Atm, I hope the crashes get fixed automagically with the next version ..No, I don't have a clue 'bout C, and I'm not starting my own variant.

Tough luck, buddy. Is it only when you play with multiple windows?
My guess is, that's the Windows UI Unangband subsystem, subtly broken by the move to 256 colors. Can't debug it, can't steal it from V, since V does not have 256 colors and I'm reluctant to steal it from NPP (256 colors all right), because the Un version is much more advanced, I"ve heard (mouse, 3D Dolby wide screen movie mode, whatnot). Anyway, even after stealing I'd have to debug it...Comment

Sadly, not. Even if I disable all 2ndary window views and close all those windows, the game still crashes at the very same spot:
Instead of crashing with the first Green Bat breathing, it crashes now when the (I think) last of the 3rd pack breathes. Interestingly enough, I kill at least 2 more (and get breathed at by them) at the very same spot and at the very same angle, without moving at all ("5" key). As soons as the 3rd come around the corner and breathes, **crash** ..No, I don't have a clue 'bout C, and I'm not starting my own variant.
