    Unangband unofficial bug thread

This is a thread to find out whether wierd things noticed are actually bugs. I have two.
    1. A stone-troll bard with the unarmed specialty isn't doing practically any damage with normal blows and NO damage with charged blows(flying kick).

    2. There is a nothing in the way. Misty mountains, dlvl 8. The nothings are in a water-based room and running into them produces the message at the start of the report.

    New one:
Upon throwing a flask of oil at the north wall of hobbiton i got the following message:
    The Flask of Oil explodes.
Erroe: Setting invalid feat 413 at (0, 222).
Although the flask was removed, nothing else happened. I was throwing the flask at the wall because I can't get anything to blow up otherwise.

Not a bug, but I'm just about fed up with not seeing ?WoR in the stores. Also the "Do you want to continue?" prompt is quite annoying, as I don't find that in any other variant.

Fortunately that kind of thing is fairly easily fixed by modifying the store resource file in lib/edit. Just increase the number of slots for the store as a whole and the number of slots allocated to Word of Recall.

            That's a good idea, thanks!

Hey Andrew, when are you going to move to Github so we can all fork Unangband?

When a non-spellcaster picks the magic book style, the spells in the books appear in alphabetical order, instead of level order. I'm not sure if it is a bug.

I'm not sure that github gives a crap - they'll take stuff down if they get a complaint, but they don't require a particular licence.

AFAIK Github doesn't require you to use any particular license. I think hosting a public repo with the original Angband license is totally fine.

Official deadline for the move away from Berlios is Dec. 31, 2011. I'd expect the move to happen before then.

I haven't decided whether to keep the SVN repository for Z.C++ live or not. (The new Mercurial one is live. Tortoise wasn't up to importing so baseline for Mercurial is Z.C++ 0.0.9 ).
Zaiband: end the "I shouldn't have survived that" experience. V3.0.6 fork on Hg.
Zaiband 3.0.10 ETA Mar. 7 2011 (Yes, schedule slipped. Latest testing indicates not enough assert() calls to allow release.)
                          Z.C++: pre-alpha C/C++ compiler system (usable preprocessor). Also on Hg. Z.C++ 0.0.10 ETA December 31 2011

I will. I've just got to decide how to migrate... ideally I'd like to keep the whole SVN history, if only out of interest.

svn2git is what you want - read about it here.
