    [FA] Feature request

    This could apply to V as well:

    Currently with FA (and maybe V) when a Master Rogue pickpockets something out of your bag, it will be on his corpse when you kill him, so you get it back. Can we have this apply to cash as well? Seems like it should.

    That applies to some variants already - ToME has the "thieves drop stolen gold when killed" option built in...

      My current opinion about this is like my opinion about hounds - I think it's an acceptable level of annoyance. I'm prepared to be persuaded, but I haven't been yet.

        It's only important when cash is scarce, which to me means a no-selling context. I don't see how it hurts the game to drop the money back even with selling, and it would make some people happy ... but ... the damned data structures are so messed up that the thief can steal more money than fits into a gold object. As a result, I had to hop through some hoops to make monsters drop the money they stole.

          I'm not hurting for money at all, but I thought it would be nice from a consistency perspective. If it's a pain to code it so, I can understand the omission. The items are the important part.
