does Angband know who you are?

ok so really weird way to phrase the question, and i guess the answer is probably "no", but, the question is:

"does Angband make any decisions based on your character?"

drop rate, drop choice, mob spawn, is anything at all in the game based on your character sheet?

an example would be to make a specific drop more or less common based on your character class, say, 125% rate of stat potions being +WIS if you are a priest.
    Or the opposite.

    ..

or is the game just uncaring, cold and unforgiving, and we only see those patterns which hurt us the most?

Not in Vanilla. Oangband has a thing where chests produce high-quality loot which is class-sepcific.

Vanilla does reduce the occurrence of spell books that can't be used by the player. That seems to be relatively recent change - it's in 4.2.1 but not 4.2.0.

I don't know, but it doesn't like me.
The last two lightning breathers destroyed my druid's two rods of TO

No other rods or wands, but both of my rods of TO.

I was very happy to find Taratol early this game, for its activation as my only source of speed, and its lighting immunity as a defense of my on each wand and rod of TO. Works a charm on Ancient Blue dragons.

Ah yes, forgot that one. It was originally in before 4.2.0 (when the new classes were added), but then accidentally removed, and now is back.

I also seem to recall that food drop rates are increased for ironman characters, but that is a borderline case.

.. i always seem to find the "wrong" randart in my games; amazing +2 shots X5 bows when i'm playing warrior, +blows shield when i'm playing Mage, if i'm playing a priest i find more potions of INT that i know what to do with, but when i play ranger all my randarts are slings.
