Slow, Confuse, and Stun have all become VERY useful in the Feature Branch (well, now the Master Branch, as they are now one and the same). Possibly too useful to the point of being overpowered. One can reliably slow and stun even Morgoth, though he cannot be confused. Many of the uniques are susceptible to all three. The triple combination is a game-changer.

“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

Hold only works until monster is attacked via weapon, missile or spell, otherwise until it wears off. It's helpful for running away or getting some space before engaging with missiles and spells, but not so great for melee.“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school.
