That's what I was talking about earlier. A player with full knowledge of the item list would know immediately that a ring that grants Resist Fire and does not give an AC boost must be a Ring of Resist Fire And Cold because that's the only item that meets those criteria. Most players are going to learn at least a few of these little tricks on their own. Should we really demand that they note them down manually?

I think a bigger issue is it's inconsistent with !rpoison & =rpoison or at least was in a feature branch version I played.

Something strange going on here. @ is wearing a Leather Scale Mail with some unknown properties and the detailed info does not add question marks to any of the unknown properties, only stats.

        Save: scalemail.zip

Edit: Ok... after save - load cycle, the question marks appeared. Go figure.

Very minor glitch. @ is seeing scrolls of darkness right after being blinded by reading one.

Pike is certainly enjoying the distinct reduction in traps.

First time I've also seen a wDSM of Stealth, only ever seen DSM of Craftsmanship before.

Weird, just went into 4.1.3 to play with Pike again and the Open existing file option defaulted to the 4.1.2 folder. See attached pic.

It defaults to "last angband save folder used", already reported.

OK, don't think I've ever seen it before.

                    Angband 4.1.3 versus Avast

                    Hi,

any Avast user here? I can't play 4.1.3 because Avast complains "it is a rare file that needs to be investigated by Avast Laboratories", uploaded the file to their servers and blocked access to the exe-file. I suppose their heuristic and pattern scans got contradictory results. :-D

I uploaded the Windows angband 4.1.3 executable to virustotal, and none of the AV engines detected it as malware. Here's a link to the detection results:

                          *LOL*
I tried the latest nightly build (angband-4.1.3-187-gd5484ae3d) and Avast didn't complain. Which one is newer, the nightly one or the zip from this thread?

Update: Avast released angband.exe (4.1.3 from this thread) from jail and it allowed me to compare them. The nightly build seems to be newer. I was playing with it but got a crash when going downstairs to 4th dungeon level...

The nightly now includes what was the feature/magic branch. I have not been advertising this loudly because the nightlies page has not been updating correctly and I thought it might be confusing. Where did you actually download angband-4.1.3-187-gd5484ae3d from?
