Cleared a room I think of 36 beetle type things. Few CCW needed. Hm.

If you were to try the look command, you would find that it is perfectly capable of looking at things that are not in line-of-sight.

I cast the spell again - I have to hit 'M'ap to see them, and the look command isn't working to look at things off-screen. But they're gone now...

Nearby there's a ton of orc type mobs - and just ran into a unique, Bolg, Son of Azog.

He's hard - if I drink a CCW I end up with about 20 more hp after his attack. I have him down 40% but will have to use several more ccw.

'l'ook ought to work on things that are offscreen; * should work too, followed by p if there are monsters in LOS. But if you have problems, you can just press [ for the monster list instead.

Rod of light hits multiple targets and has a very short recharge time. With a few of them, that time goes down to a couple turns.

It didn't; I'd try [ but as I said, I cast it again and now the dragons are gone somehow. Wonder why.

Yeah, I was wondering why you didn't use ?PD before. (Or use the spell, assuming you have the fail rate down.) Alternatively, use teleport. Bolg doesn't have a good enough drop to be worth using all your !CCW.

Did that, gave me a chance to heal a little and cast bless.

Got him, he had junk loot. Several down other monsters with him also.

The hold monster worked on him but in one turn he was free.

Off to see the rest of the level wondering what happened to the dragons.

Found helm 'holhenneth'... not the most useful with 2 int/wis/search, but also a nice effect and another attribute I need to identify.

Read a scroll, turned out to be teleport, now i'm in a room with two uniques, Angamaite and Sangahyando.

Killed one, got 'Nimthanc', third strong weapon... looks a little better than Narthanc.

But Narthanc's fire effect is a little stronger 9d8 than Nimthanc's 6d8 frost.
