Taratol also has electricity immunity, which can be very valuable as a swap. Pazuzu in particular becomes a trivial target. But also blue dragon pits are easy, with no risk to wands or rods.

Taratol might become useful, but the weight - 20 pounds - is a killer for combat so it's going in the house for now. It's hard not to lose speed.

Dropping a rod of curing to make room. Darn this small inv.

I have a wand of slow monster and a staff of slow monsters. If there's a group of sleeping monsters and I use the staff, it'll aggro them right?

It'll wake them up, and slow some a little. It won't actually aggravate them.

What's the difference between wake them up and aggravate them? Won't it cause them to attack?

Aggravate wakes up all monsters in a 200' radius, not just in LOS. Shriek is even worse: it's a 400' radius, and LOS monsters are basted as well.
                Edit: fixed radii

It seems to me in the feature branch that "slow" no longer wakes up the monster. Don't know if that was intended.

But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

So, it's the same thing - you're using 'aggravate' to refer to a larger area.

So, if I use 'slow monsters', I'll have them all attack...

Unless this is right, and they won't.

Since I found an item with resistance to poison and confusion and blindness, I'm leaning toward dropping a rod of curing as not useful.

Found a pretty big vault, with not too bad of monsters; but it's blocked off, I have nothing to dig in with, and a full inventory anyway.

Update: Well, there's a hammer I can use by dropping a spellbook, but that puts me so over I have speed -3. Hm.

They started coming, and I've killed dozens and it got dangerous (30 some HP left out of 200 and some) so I phase door's and checked how many are left.

A big part of the room looks like it's asleep and a long chain of them are coming down the hall at me. Dozens left. I don't have the heals for this...

I can shoot a few arrows, and kill them ok, but there are a lot and I'm at 100HP after another CCW.

Well crap. It was going ok, nothing hitting that hard except as usual the power word attack.

Then there was a grave wight and I got 1 shotted. Not sure what he did or how much damage.

Seeing if I can copy the file in lib\user\save before exiting it the game hasn't yet updated it to getting killed. Hope that's the right file this time.
