    Thanks for the report - the game doesn't like your inscription on the Band of Avardgan for some reason I haven't worked out yet. Was it just {COLD,Speed.A:map}, or was there another character at the end?

    Feature - all potions and scrolls now ID on first use.

    Speed potions have been a dlvl 1 item since basically forever. Every variant I know of, no matter how far back it was forked, has speed potions at dlvl (or has changed them itself). They were never particularly rare either, maybe like 1 in 20 potions or so. Speed potions in piles are new, though.

    Speed potion insanity

    Not sure if this is just an outlier seed but I just got like 5 speed potions (spread out across the level, not as a pile) across level 3 of the dungeon. In previous versions I remember having to dive deeper for them and they were rarer. Not sure if its a bug but thought it would be good to raise it.

    neutralize poison potion

    I id'd neutralize poison by drinking the potion when I wasnt poisoned. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

    well if i recall correctly, i have used 3 heal and 1 *heal in my entire game. Since i'm a ranger .. who found an arkenstone early on, and telepathy not much later, i can control the dungeon pretty easily.

    Go down - find a unique - superb stealth, TO everything else, set up a corridor, haste + slow, arrows, and if i get hit, i phase and drink a bunch of CCW.


    playing with preserve off is really very different. you don't have to take responsibility for any fuckups you commit in the dungeon - at worst, you just leave. there's no need to push into a vault if you see enemies that have a good chance of killing you.

    And i got to say, it makes the game less exciting. Once i get past the CL20 mark, i only really die because i'm being careless, or greedy. Not because i had to take on an enemy, and i got beaten.

    Sky: 40 *Heal* suggests you have been grinding way longer than "enough". Yikes. 1 vs Sauron and 10 vs Morgoth is pretty safe.

    objects don't stack correctly angband-4.1.0-46-g70f6f76d

    i have a stack of 40 CCW and a stack of 28 CCW. i walk over a stack of 4 CCW and these get placed in a new stack, so i have:
    40 CCW
    38 CCW
    4 CCW

    if i drop the 4, and pick them up again, this repeats. if i drop 2 from the stack of 4, nothing happes (40, 38, 2). if i drop 2 and 2 and then walk over it, i get the correct stack of 40, 40, 2.
