V hydras only drop cash (this is something that could be changed too, cash only monsters should only exist at low levels where you need the money. At deeper levels they should drop items), NPP hydras have lots of different breath attacks depending on their size, this makes them slightly more challenging.

Or turned into a timed attack that prevents you casting spells and activating artifacts, instead of their current effect.

Kind of an anti-magic bubble? Sounds cool.

Ah, that's a suitable gameplay change for 3.0.8. I like it.

            Hi Andrew,

In NPP, I like the possibility to review the contents of the home from the knowledge screens. Maybe this is already in the newer V versions (I'm still playing 3.0.6), but if not, then please bring it over!

Also, squelch. But I think I've read that this has already been brought into V, right?
            Best, Hugo

I like the new windows fonts in Sangband v 1, they are generally full screen, without extra windows, and some good graphics, you can add adam bolts 16x16 tiles to it, or david gervais 32x32. The problem I have with most band's is that I can't get the window to function properly with the bigger windows fonts. Sangband is the only one that seems to work pretty decently, bar a few problems, where you have to refresh the screen.

I also would like to see monsters UI a little more fearless, it's really annoying to fight a room full of monsters, only to have half of them run away when you have almost killed them. At that point you have to chase them down, cause you don't want them slipping back up on you when your trying to fight someone else. It takes a lot of gametime, particualry when your a new character. I would think a lot of non-intelligent monsters would mostly try to fight till the death.

Come to think about it, I think the ability to use 2 weapons in Unangband is awsome! I also like the other specialties that it has for different classes. I would love to see this implemented in Angband. It just seems more realistic to be able to wield 2 differnt weapons.

Also now that I think about it, I saw 1 band maybe, Eyangband? That allowed you to use staves as weapons. Your general magic staves from like the magic shop, It seems right for a magic user who has a staff of say, earthquakes to be able to wield it as a weapons as well.

Its because most of the *bands have inherited the (IMHO) horrible tile scaling code, that automatically resizes the tiles based on the font size. This means the tiles automatically look awful 99% of the time.

Sangband gets this right. Unangband has a 'nice graphics' mode in Windows that tries to do the right thing.

I recently started a FA Angband game which showed the Gervais tiles in the correct size.

Yes, I copied the UnAndrew implementation.

This should be asap in one of the next versions.
It is a pain to continously "enhance tile height" and "enhance tile width" from the menu over and over to get the correct size finally.

Doing this over, I'd make the different specialties more like Oangband's implementation. Its a bit too restricting just being able to take one for the entire game.
