    Oh absolutely the last thing Angband needs is more feature bloat. There's a whole list of features that either don't do much or aren't very fun at the moment (searching/traps/perception etc.). Other things I'd argue are overcomplicated or could be removed completely.

    I was thinking more along the lines of some of the less optimal part of the game mechanics might benefit from a bit of a radical reworking.

      One think I would like to see in a new version of Angband is a scroll or minibook for the other (dungeon) spellbooks. The low level spells come too late in the game

        I don't understand what you're suggesting. You want earlier access to the deep-dungeon spells in some fashion?

          Largely this is the direction I'd like to see the game go in. Take ID-by-use to its logical end, make AI more varied, make traps interesting, make stat drain temporary etc.

            I want access to the low level spells in the deep dungeon spell books
            By the time I get the spellbooks, I only need to use the higher level spells.
