Strange monsters from the imagination!

Just curious what strange monsters you people have done in your game

I have made:
Crawling hand: A disembodied hand that crawls along the floor.
Kind of nasty, they live in groups and steal stuff.

Giant Head: A disembodied giant human head.
It's just a giant human head that sits there. If you get to close it will lick up an item.

Giant Dwarf: A giant dwarf, he's as tall as a human.

Hypnotoad: A toad with hypnotic eyes. (From Futurama)
Confuses you and makes you hallucinate

Lard Golem: A shambling humanoid monster made of lard.
It's poisonous to touch. Think nasty rancid lard.

Giant Baby: A giant crying baby, waking all that is near.
It crawls around and cries.

Centaur Archer: It is a horse with a human upper body where the horses head should be.

Well, in Vanilla there's a skull druj and hand druj, which are just stationary spellcasters, but there's nothing really like Thing from the Addams Family. Zangband had a Disembodied Hand that Strangled People (a reference to Calvin & Hobbes), but I think that was a unique monster; I don't recall any specific Disembodied Heads.

With this and the half-dragons, you should start a variant. You could call it Disturband - the Disturbing Angband.

Oh man... all these names for a kinda horror-y themed variant... that'd be awesome. Especially considering how tense the game is already.
Shame more Roguelikes don't try to go down that path :P

Added a new monster - Old Age:
Old Age can render even the greatest of heroes feeble and weak.
It drains exp, strength and constitution upon touch.

How about some things that would be really scary if they were real:

Vashta Nerada? Count the shadows.

Empty Child? "Are you my mummy?"

I have to say that whoever wrote those episodes had some seriously weird mind.
