or to move diagonally you can just change the movement delay in settings to around 3 milliseconds and then pressing say for example down and left at the same time is the same effect as pressing 1 with a standard numpad. It's not perfect, but it works pretty well.

Since people seem to be hovering on the topic of diagnol movement on a laptop, I'll throw my 2 cents into the pot. I actually have no difficulty just using the entire row of numeric keypads on the top. However, to do this, I need to have 2 hands on the keyboard at all times. In the resting position, I rest my two index fingers on 3 and 7, my two middle fingers on 2 and 8, and my two ring fingers on 1 and 9. Then, I slide either of my index fingers over to hit 4, 5, and 6. Then, both of my thumbs are naturally resting on the space bar key, so I map the . key to spacebar for running purposes.

At first, it was very frustrating to the point where I nearly gave up, but it actually only took me a few days of playing to train my mind to a point where I didn't have to think too much about it. Over the next few weeks, it became easier and easier to the point where even when I was playing on a full keyboard, I'd find myself using the top numerics out of habit (I switch on and off from desktop to laptop, depending on where I am in the house). It just takes a little bit of practice, but at this point, i'm indifferent between the top numerics or the side numerics.

The difficulty is with ctrl+movement and shift+movement. These do not work on the top keys but they do work on the numpad and the arrow keys. I consider this a bug, but I've failed in all my attempts to fix it. The only way to do a ctrl+diagonal movement is to ctrl+function+numpad equivalent. It may be possible that movement delaying as Angelus has suggested has developed enough that it fixes the problem, but I"m not sure.

I tried this several years ago and gave up-- ended up moving not diagonally and screwing up too much. being able to do something like alt+left+up would be pretty swell, but I'm mostly used to the numbers now (except when I used to hit destroyed levels-- that was too painful-- but I think those are gone).

Just had a strange one: you were wearing 39 bolts, you add 2 bolts to your quiver.

Picking up the 2 bolts removed the bolts from my quiver.

Ah yes, the quiver overflow bug - I thought we had fixed this? If not then we need a ticket for it.

Just a minor glitch: hints didn't get updated for 3.4, so you can still get the wrong info that you can put 99 missiles in a quiver slot.
