Do not play V nightlies until further notice!

So, Fizzix and I just discovered a pretty serious bug in the currently nightly which turns your weapons into 0d0 weapons. Once you save the game there may not be an easy way to recover, so please don't start a new nightly.

I will post a reply to this thread once the issue is fixed.

We apologise for the panic. We have recently removed our staging branch in order to bring you changes more swiftly, but sometimes things like this will happen which would have been caught in staging. This should now be fixed in the latest dev build (462a8bd) - but if you are in the middle of a game it is *always* a good idea to back up your savefile before upgrading to a new dev version.

it is possible to remake your gear, but it is a bit of a pain. If you happened to lose your stuff (like I did) I can help you through the process of recreating it.

Got this error compiling the newest nightly:

          Code:
          main-gcu.o: In function `Term_text_gcu':
          /home/vince/src/angband/src/main-gcu.c:698: undefined reference to `mvwaddnwstr'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
          make[3]: *** [angband] Error 1
          make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
          make[1]: *** [subdirs] Error 1

The newest angband nightlies depend on ncursesw (instead of just ncurses) instead of ncurses. People on Ubuntu may need to install libncursesw5-dev. Other distros will have different package names.

Installed the library, still getting the error. make distclean followed by re-configure and make didn't work either. It's like it's still using the old ncurses library.

Odd - it worked fine for me (Lucid Lynx).

                  Did you get this line:
                  Code:
                  checking for ncursesw5-config... /usr/bin/ncursesw5-config
                  when you ran configure?

No, and when I did, I realized I needed to re-run autogen.sh. I got that line when I re-ran configure.

That's too low res for me to make out the problem - what were you referring to?

They're solid blocks - isn't that what you want? You can change the display char or the colour through the knowledge menu.
