I used to play in normal window size because I enjoyed seeing the monster and viewable items term windows. But now I play in full screen only to avoid situations like this. =/
This level seems terribly dangerous

honestly 138 is a low value. You're used to prioritizing for resists and not for AC. I've hit 250 AC in games (300 with shield). And then, you can melee the titans without breaking a sweat. Something like regular magical adamantite plate mail might actually be useful in some games, instead of just being junk.
How do you reach 300? With Caspanion, Colluin, Thorin, Thranduil, Fingolfin and Dal-i-Thalion (typical endgame gear) it still is just 65+16+30+12+25+17 + DEX-bonus +15 = 180.
That's spellcast stat + CON, Basic4 + double-resists, STR & CON, ESP, DEX & combat bonuses, speed & DEX.
I don't care about resists, other things, sure, but not resists. Currently my gear is optimized for speed and CON, which are +15 permanent and 18/190.Comment

I use Preservation for sustains and resist disenchantment, I have dwarven shield too, but it has even worse AC, and Celegorm, which is useless for me just now. No better boots than I have (BoS +2), and Colluin is a must for warrior, it leaves worries for rPoison and gives double-resistances to save stuff in inventory and longer fighting against basic element breathers.

something like dwarven adamantite plate mail can have 100-120 AC on its own. I'm pretty sure that's how I got there. That game I was able to melee titans with impunity. Usually I wind up lower, closer to 150-170 as you calculate and that means meleeing tough monsters is a bit trickier.www.mediafire.com/buzzkill - Get your 32x32 tiles here.
