Ugh!
I think there are some memory corruption issues that have been introduced with some of the big refactors going on. I also think similar refactors may have caused the bug where the message "You see a XYZ" occasionally gets printed N times instead of once.

I don't remember the exact message, but my game froze with
A gruesome software bug leaps at you! panic save succeeded
Prior to this, my arrows inscribe f0 were being printed with some non-std characters. I think it was an 'h' that caused the crash. I got some output to my terminal:

I just wanted something recent with working randarts that I can play and debug if necessary ( I have a couple of weird glitches that I'm not going to report yet )
Thanks for the reply!

What are you looking for? If you want to play 3.2, you can "git checkout v3.2.0" to get that exact version - or of course just download it straight from rephial.org.
If you want to play with e1812132 that's fine, it has a few of the changes since 3.2.Leave a comment:

I had something similar removing Vilya *on purpose* [maybe to switch in Narya], getting hit by elec breath from Ancalagon who I confused with Glaurung [whichever I fought, I thought only the other could breathe elec]. I don't remember how negative I went. Maybe I never knew. I think I was too stunned to save the dump.I have got somewhere around same against Tarrasque forgetting to put (back) on Narya and not having any other fire resist. Don't remember actual number, but IIRC it went like this: T breathes cold, I ignore, T breathes disenchantment, I resist but get hurt enough to need to drink potion of healing, T breathers fire. RIP -screen. Me: What?? (checking dead char equipment) Doh!Leave a comment:

Maybe around -1200? The funny thing is that I was deep and playing seriously, attempting to win at the time.
Hmm - maybe it was this one. A paltry -925.Leave a comment:

The code for vulnerabilities exists in V, so if anything actually gives a vulnerability then -2400 would be possible. I'm not sure anything does though.
Someone posted a TOME char dump recently with -2300 HP. They had an extreme vulnerability which I guess means double damage.Leave a comment:

Okay, this may be a dumb question but I can't figure it out.
I'd like to poke around the source code, but I like randarts.
So how do I pull a revision level of the source at the 3.2 release level?
With the old svn system this was pretty easy, I'd just pull the revision # that was one less than any change I wanted to yank out. I can't seem to figure out how to backtrace the trac issue list to source code files. (i.e. commited to master as 480b5ba) <-- how do I find that?
