Use the "less is more" approach. I suggested differentiating classes by removing many overlapping spells. That would be a start. Remove all of the recently improved standarts The way to deal with junk is to remove it, not improve it, if the game is too easy.

I've also got a list of restrictions I use in my own games that could be incorporated, but I doubt they would be popular.

I know the blunt thing might not make sense, but surely it makes less sense to penalise pointy hand weapons but allow pointy missiles. we should be consistent at least.

And thrown pointy things, for that matter. I am pretty sure there's no penalty for throwing a dagger or a spear.....but I could be wrong

hmm.. that might be harder as you don't equip thrown items. but then I think we can trust that our priests are skilled enough to throw a dagger so the hilt hits, not the blade

Has anyone else seen this? If so, windows or linux or other?
I have just seen this with my comp char, Debian Squeeze, r1971. It went away when I exited and restarted. I can confirm that the bug affects selling prices as well - I sold FA gloves for 10k rather than 1.5k. It appears to me that the prices are all multiplied by the same factor, as the relative values are constant (bar chain more expensive than leather, etc.). No idea why or how it is happening, but it's confirmed. Did you open a ticket at trac.rephial.org?

I do not remember, but I think not.
