Wondering if it's possible (and maybe it's super simple) to change the order of my quiver so that when I auto shoot it doesnt use the one at the top and instead uses the one I want it to (or changes the one I want to the top). I'm sure there's a lot of features like this I'm not aware of as I'm a very casual player. Thanks!

I find it frustrating too, that the quiver doesn't order by damage output. Nonetheless, the workaround is to inscribe stacks of ammunition in your quiver. There are a total of 10 slots available, 0 through 9. I inscribe with "f"ire, "v"throw, and "g"et, and the quiver position. E.g., @f0=g; @f1=g; ...@v4=g; .... Then I can fire f2, or throw v4 at a target. I can use "n" to repeat the command to fire from the same slot at the same target on the next turn. The =g inscription means I can just walk over the ammo to pick it back up into the quiver. Hope that helps.

You can't really order by damage, as it depends on which slay matches the foe. One of the hundreds of notes I have made to myself is that there needs to be a command that says to use the best ammo for the target.

ok, granted, but it shouldn't be THAT hard to line them up as normal -> mithril -> seeker. Right now the game does normal -> seeker -> mithril.

If that's all you want, you probably just need to switch the svals. Just looked, and svals aren't there any more, so assuming decent coding all you should need to do is to edit lib/gamedata/object.txt and swap the corresponding blocks. DO NOT KEEP A BACKUP IN THE gamedata DIRECTORY. That backup would be read too, duplicating each object type. At least, that's what happened to me when I mucked with egos.

I do not recommend doing this experiment mid-game, but I can't think of any egos or artifacts that depend on ammo svals, so it might not be instant doom to try this if you are feeling particularly lucky.
