        My only problem with the new version is that I can't seem to turn smart packs off. Smart packs are kind of dumb in a way, and I think I'll like them when I start playing my mage, but as a warrior they're pissing me off, especially the hall-block move. Problem is, when I alter the option, it makes no difference. Do I have to do this at birth?

          Yup. That's why they're birth options.

            That's what I assumed, but if they're birth options, then why even have them alterable after character creation? It's a little confusing changing something and then having nothing change...

              Mainly so you can change them for your next character, and also so you can check what options you started with. I don't have a very good reason, though, just history..
