Let's give Eowyn some credit here. They worked together, but she would have gotten the XP for it

Which hobbit(s) defeated "Sharky" at the end of LoTR?

Also, I suspect Merry's dagger was a little more potent than Westernesse. Sure it was hell on Orcs, but it was way too good against Undead for Westernesse. Maybe an extra-dice Holy Avenger?

I'm pretty sure Wormtongue killed him.

Wormtongue killed Saruman by jumping on his back and slitting his throat (exxxx-cellent...). Wormtongue was slain by a hail of hobbit arrows right after that. I wonder what he dropped.

A bunch of hobbit bones, probably, since he was subsisting on them by that point.

A bunch of Hobbit bones and whatever Lotho Sackvil baggins dropped when Wormtongue killed him, ---- though last time I knocked him off he didn't drop anything besides a big wodge of copper, ---- though he probably spent it on a potion of Barbeque sauce to go with that rack of hobbit ribs, ---- ;D.

For fellowship items, might I also suggest that everyone accept legolas should cary at least one potion which causes confusion when drunk to represent the copious quantities of pipe weed they're always puffing away at, pluss everyone accept Gandalf should carry Waybread as well.

I was pondering this in an idle moment today and remembered this thread...

Aragorn is definitely a Paladin in *band terms. Great warrior. Relies on his wisdom and charisma as a leader of men. Superlative healing abilities and power over the undead. The only problem is that paladins have low stealth/perception/searching, and that obviously doesn't apply to Aragorn. But without a bow, he's just not a *band ranger.

You'd have to dig around the Silmarilion to find a better Tolkein paladin than Aragorn.

Who would you dig up? We don't know enough about most people to assign classes. Turin could be a warrior, rogue, or ranger. We don't know for sure and he appears to have changed classes several times. We know Turgon and Thingol and Tuor were not priests because they have non-blessed swords. Beren is a probable rogue. Luthien is a probable mage, but could be a priest. Same for Melian. Actually, Luthien is a definate priest. She cast dispel evil on Tol-in-Guarhoth and has never been observed in melee combat. Finrod was a probable mage. Fingolfin must have been a priest because he'd have no other reason to have a blessed sword. Just about everyone else was either a warrior ora ranger or an unknown.

I'm not seeing any paladins in the Silmarillion.
One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to bind them.
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness interrupt the movie.

If you're allowing Maiar, then Eonwe fits pretty well. It's certainly hard to make a case for any of the Noldor, because they were going against the Valar by leaving, and none of the humans had much to do with the Valar - except Tuor. His sword is not named in TS, I think - in other writing his axe Dramborleg is mentioned, and it is blessed in FA...

There's no Angband version of the Horn of Gondor though... I suppose it could be an amulet that activates for some combination of cause fear, cause stunning, and to-hit/to-dam bonuses.

You forgot Bert, the Stone Troll for Gandalf and Legolas has a long bow of Lothlorien, before that he had a short bow {excellent}.It's hard to define what ego it is.

No way, it was a Short Bow of Accuracy (+20, +10)! You remember that shot he made in moria as they're going down the stairs and orcs are shooting at them? Yeah that was dope. No way he could've made that shot without a bow of accuracy.
