    Banishing shape shifters

Some 'A's got summoned, one shifted into an 'E', and I used a staff of banishment on 'A'. The 'E' remained, but disappeared when I banished again on 'E'.

I think the first banish should have gotten them all. Agree or Disagree?

If you disagree, what about the case where the shift is to a unique. I think that shouldn't be allowed, but clearly it is. Should you be able to banish a monster pretending to be a unique? I didn't test this so I don't know the current behavior.

Agree, banish should work on the original race.

While we're on the subject, I've had shape shifters change into uniques that I've already slain. This doesn't seem like it should be possible.
Oh you icky things, don't you know you're driving your mamas and papas insane…

backwardsEric has already fixed this so it's the original race that counts.

I guess the shifting monster doesn't know that you know that the unique is dead
