    Mid-depth questions: antisummon corridors and vaults

    Okay, so when I'm fighting summoning monsters, I know it's easiest if I build an "anti-summoning corridor", but what exactly is it? This is what I am thinking, but I'm not sure:

    Is that what I do?

    Also, where is the listing/description/plans/whatever of the vault types found? I think I've run in to it before, but I'm not sure.

    is the simplest, I think. With current V summoning (around the summoner) any monsters summoned will appear behind the U and not have line of sight to @. With variants which summon around the player, I think something can still be summoned behind here; so in fact

    is probably best in any case, but it may be harder to set up.

    A neat trick is to dig two of these side by side away from other open areas:

    then you can phase when in trouble and land in the other one, giving time to heal.

      Is there an effective maximum on Constitution? I.e. after a certain number, more points doesn't increase my hit points? I was trying to figure out whether to wear my ring of speed or my ring of con, and when I took off my con, my hp didn't go down at all.

        No stats have any benefits beyond 18/220 (labelled as 18/*** in older versions).

        CON actually has a lower cutoff -- maximum regeneration rate (9+1 from poison, stunning, and cut counters) and HP/level (12.5) are reached at 18/200.

        The official tables are in the tables.c source file, or in some of the spoiler files (ability.spo and stats.spo are most likely).

          Is plasma simply electricity and fire? I don't remember where or why I got the idea about plasma being the combination. Can you resist plasma, or do you just have to deal with it and avoid it or have a lot of hitpoints?

            Anything in your inventory susceptible to either fire or electricity may be damaged/destroyed by a plasma attack. Not sure about resisting it - I'm curious myself.

              It depends. It's unresistable in Vanilla, but half fire half electricity (and can stun) in O/FA.

                Okay, now let's play a game.
                Let's pretend that I found Calris, enchanted it up to (+8,+20), and wielded it (for its Con and Rdis), only to find out that it was still cursed. What do I do now? Scum the town until I find a *Remove Curse*? Proceed as normal?

                ...

                Never mind. I got it enchanted up to (+10,+20) and the curse broke. Does it work at a certain spot, or it is chance-based?

                    What about if you have immunity to both fire and electricity. I assume you still take the damage, but do things get burnt up or zapped?
