A question from rgra: "installing optional angband features"

I saw this question on rgra (yep, it's still occasionally used!), and thought I'd post it here for more visibility:

hello i added the sound effects from http://www.dubtrain.com/angband/
and I get these errors

Plus i dont know how to install gui tiles, i am stuck on ascii art

Any ideas that might be useful to send to the poster? Feel free to respond in rgra, or I can relay whatever y'all might have to say.

You could point the poster to this thread, http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showthread.php?p=45973 , where Magnate worked around the errors by converting the wave files to .ogg (that was with Angband 3.2 on Linux with the SDL front end). I don't have anything to offer about configuring tiles on whatever setup the poster is using.

I posted an answer on rgra - Dubtrain's sounds are in Angband as of 3.5.0.
