Are there particular DLs where poison resistance is more likely to drop? I'm starting to get a bit worried about my lack of poison resistance on my armor. I'm at DL 34 and I'm seeing a good amount of basalisks and poison dragons. I've been okay because I have telepathy and a couple potions of poison resistance, but I want to find a permanent solution. Can I farm certain DLs to get poison resistance, or does it all come down to luck?

Rings of rPois have native depth of 40 - unfortunately, you might start running into really nasty poison breathers at those levels (including drolems, which can't be detected by telepathy). -
If you are farming stat gain at 30-35 initially, one usually in the end will see a ring in black market, or a lucky drop. I am currently wearing an Elvenkind armor with poison, before that had both bought one from black market and seen a drop (when I noticed had not squelched it yet, so maybe I have seen one even after that).
All depends on what class you are playing on how much time you feel like spending sub 30-40 levels for stat gain, as a paladin which I am currently trying to get to a winner without making an oopsie, I tend to need like mid 18'xxs for str/dex or a megasling with branded ammo before I feel comfortable with my dmg output, and that usually means I have found a rpoison as well.Comment

Personally I'll wear a ring of the mouse before I will wear a ring of resist poison. Dying from a poison breath when you have good stealth and you aren't resting a lot or otherwise spending a lot of time on levels is quite unlikely. Proper play style can compensate for lack of poison resistance. There's only a small handful of dangerous poison breathers and they all start on the level asleep.Beginner's Guide to Angband 4.2.3 Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9c9e2wMngM
