Ok. I'll do something like that.

I'll certainly be combing this thread when I next have some free time to work on Sil!

Can we change Thuringwethil's color to be a bit more obvious / standoutish? Every time I meet her, I assume she's just a normal vamp. Her coloration is very close to the lesser vampire, which she definitely is not lol

This often ends hilariously with me thinking she's just a normal monster and OHKOing her, but the times when it doesn't usually go in the exact opposite direction.

Like, can we make her bright red or something?

Then again, maybe this is just me...

I'll agree with this. He's the littlest balrog, after all. Fire resist isn't a total necessity to fight him, going without makes it *exciting* and *fun*. Pop some consumables and test to see if your build is good enough.

I don't know if anyone else (besides myself) has come across this on the Sil ladder. But, there is a *huge* score penalty for surfacing the Gates without ANY Sils.

I've done this with and without killing Morgoth. It's quite amusing.

I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more often.

I won't try to claim again that I can write down the whole map whenever I encounter a Mewlip (admittedly that was a stupid argument) but I can still say that in a year of playing Sil I've never run into a situation where I felt I was in danger due to amnesia—at least violet molds do your character actual harm.
I completely agree about this, for the record.

IMO, the starting depth for the weakest Balrog should be at least 700ft. More often than not, the weakest Balrog shows up at 500ft. This is before my first FireResist source, and that forces me to leave the level. Unfortunately, even the weakest one can be *very* hard to fight at 500ft.

What I find mildly annoying is when Duruin is the first rauko I meet.

It's not really grey and white. More like really light blue and white. The same colors are used on the character screen when allocating exp.

What form of colourblindness makes gray and white look the same?

Edit - I have some news. I recently started a Feanorian Smithing character that found a Shadow Cloak at 50ft. I went to the first forge at 100ft and there was a Grey mold nearby. I put on the Shadow Cloak and took off the Wooden Torch, and started making my usual Rings of Accuracy (+2)...And voilŕ, I was able to do the Smithing in the dark with that Grey mold nearby. Looking at the character screen, the Light Radius was -1.

If the Light Radius is zero or higher in presence of the mold, the Smithing will be interrupted. But, if the Light Radius is -1 or even lower in the presence of the mold, you can Smith without interruption.

So, it *is* possible to do Smithing in the *dark.*
Awesome! Now you're thinking like a glitch hunter
