A minor quibble.. the floor tiling while seamless at the edges forms a visible grid (in the center), which in of of itself isn't bad, I rather like being able to see the tile grid and this one is very unobtrusive (nice), but the corners appear in the center of the tiles rather than at the corners.
Shockbolt's tiles now in 3.4-dev!

edit: I told blue baron a while ago that I would make adjustments to the tileset before it was "released". That never happened due to tons of issues(mostly work related). I should be able to make some needed changes very early in january, mainly size adjustments and possibly some item additions such as more scroll variants.http://www.rpgartkits.com/

Wow, that's almost as big as one of my monitors.
The tiles do look awesome (... and I say that as an ASCII player). Would they look as good scaled down a further x2?Comment

They're displayed at full size in the screenshot, so scaling down by x2 would make them 32x32. I wonder if we can have non-power-of-2 scaling to make them 48x48, as a nice compromise between 32x32 and 64x64? Of course, that might introduce scaling artifacts, but there's only one way to find out...You read the scroll labeled NOBIMUS UPSCOTI...

Here is the same scene displayed with the tiles scaled down to 32x32. I used the "tile multiplier" menu options to scale them; since it was at 4x2 before, I set it to 2x1. I suppose if I wanted to get 48x48, I could fiddle with the font settings too, but then the fonts would be really tiny...
Also, for some reason when I change the tile multiplier, the "confused" indicator goes away... and when I quit and reload the game, the tile multiplier resets itself to the default

@ blue baron: I Updated the floor tiles, scroll tiles, doors and stairs up/down. New version is in your dropbox.
edit: updated trap tiles, made all rings appear smaller, made all mushrooms appear smaller.Last edited by Shockbolt; December 23, 2011, 21:46.http://www.rpgartkits.com/

Ok, I just pushed a new build which should include the 64x64.png file. Sorry for the delay. Should be available from the same link as in the OP."Been away so long I hardly knew the place, gee it's good to be back home" - The BeatlesComment

I would have thought that (particularly at 64x64) it would be hard to get much dungeon on the screen, and then you'd often be killed by offscreen breathers...?

I also tried with less than 64x64 but knowing how great the 64x64 tiles look I felt I neither got the benefits of ascii nor the visual benefit of Shockbolt's tiles.
==> Introducing a single key press to switch between ascii (the last used setting) and graphics would be super. Anyone already found a way to do this?

I'm also playing at 64x64 on a large screen. I doubt screens lesser than 24" would benefit from the full 64x64 tileset, so perhaps angband should have an option of choosing between 64x64, 48x48 or 32x32 directly from the menu?http://www.rpgartkits.com/
