Started working on some tiles for outdoor terrains, some of these will be based on my Castles & siege engines addon art kit (www.rpgartkits.com):

With a 64x64 pixel grid added(the round towers are not properly aligned to the grid here):

That's what ToME does, and something that would make Vanilla Angband (as opposed to QT port) tiling much easier. Or editing V's tiles :P

I know ToME does this, I used to work on ToME until 2013-2014 when DarkGod replaced me

I've been tasked to create a batch of new tiles for NPPAngband by Jeff Greene, it's fun to be able to do these again after working myself almost to death with my Fantasy art kit project. Jeff was kind enough to let the new tiles be included with the standard "Shockbolt" Angband tileset even though it's a commission project.

Seen here are roughly half of the new tiles, some of them are based on tiles already painted in the past, such as the Hydra tiles and the creeping gemstone tiles.

That said, I plan on starting the task of creating a pure tilesheet that only contain the tiles and tokens I've created for Angband/NPPAngband/possibly other variants/maybe even ToME tiles. This tilesheet will be made available for those who would like to make use of it for their free projects, a link will be posted in this forum.

            Those creeping gemstones are amazing!

As for the link, I'm waiting impatiently for it to happen so that I can include a link to those brilliant tiles in my little tips&resources&tools blog post.

They are all so good, but so far my favorites are Azathoth (second row, 5th from left), Evil Iggy (top left), the two blue wizards (second row), the vorpal bunny (bottom row), and the diamond golem (3rd row, third from right).

A 64x64 and 32x32 tilesheet has been added to the first post of this thread, it is basically the same tilesheet that comes with Angband, with a few modifications. I have removed the pixel tiles created by the other artist(to prepare to fill the tilesheet with my own tiles), moved a 64x128 ghost tile to the bottom left corner and I've moved 2 shop/home doors next to the other shop doors that has text in them. Besides that, everything should be as before.

I'll start adding more tiles to the tilesheets this week, dropping a note here when new versions have been uploaded. The new versions can then be downloaded from the same links in the first post of this thread.

Thanks for the nice feedback guys!

The Tilesheet has been updated, a huge bunch of new tiles has been added into it. I've picked a selection of characters/monsters and some items that was painted for ToME + added a new dungeon terrain tileset.

The updated tilesheet can be found in the first post of this thread.

Wow this is awesome. There are a bunch of new tiles here that I am going to want to use.

It would be great if you would also include the tiles you have drawn for me into this tileset, so that others can use them if they want to.

Would you consider publishing a 96x96 version of the tileset, in parallel to the 32x32 and 64x64? Or can I paypal you to do me 96x96 versions of some specific tiles that I like?

That sounds great, I'll add in those tiles! About a 96x96 version, I would have to create this one from scratch, as 64x64 is the largest version made of the tilesheet, I've got most of the tiles in 128x128 or larger as stand alone versions. Definately something I'd do after completing the 64x64 and 32x32 versions.

The tilesheet has been updated with tiles painted for Antoine + more.

                            *edit*

The tilesheet need more skeleton variations doesn't it, I'll add in a few of those.

Looks fantastic! Thanks! Can't wait to try them. If devs need more workforce to assign the characters, I'm here.
