    Heroism Not Working in 4.2.5

I Started to to play a Dwarf Priest and found that the Heroism Spell(Prayer) does NOT WORK from the book. The Potion seems to work fine. Could Someone fix this please?

The actual Heroism effect doesn't happen until character level 20. Until that time the prayer just restores some HP and removes fear. Check the description
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

I have a CL 33 Paladin, with very useful Heroism spell, duration 22+d22. At CL20, it is not so useful: duration 2+d2.

Any reason the Heroism effect got locked to clvl 20? That combat boost is very nice - especially in early game, where the numbers are lower in first place - but it doesn't seem outright balance breaking. And the initial duration at clvl 20 is still too low for combat utility - you're more likely to end up wasting turns re-applying it if you want those boosts.

Because remove fear has always been a low level spell, while heroism used to show up in MB6 or so?

Heroism used to be an "arcane" class specific spell, but now it was moved to priest/paladin and merged with Remove Fear (I can see the logic behind that - Heroism fits priest/paladin flavor and Remove Fear is one of the spells you'd cut if you want to trim down the spell list). Berserk Strength - another former arcane class spell from dungeon book - is now one of first spells for Blackguard, and it starts out with full effect. Is Heroism restricted to higher levels to avoid stacking combat buffs with Bless?

Yeah, kind of. One of the things with reducing the number of books was to try and keep them all relevant, which meant having spells with value throughout the game rather than just early or late.
