Rocketband with a HE mage starting with two Rings of the Mouse. Or a kobold rogue with a rod of detection. You'd have to be impossibly lucky to get detection spells otherwise.

No, no. You see the original devs ruined Moria by adding artifacts, you're just finally fixing it. Next up you need to remove firing in any direction other then the 8 cardinal directions.

Nick should never blame himself for the development bug. It happens, flip that. My win was flawed, because the best players were stripped the chance of winning. I know I did a good run, but the fact that guys pursuing me never had a chance, makes the win flawed.

Your win was awesome, I would not have beat it

Nick is awesome. Managing an entity with a passionate community behind it is a big job. I'm glad I don't have it. I'm grateful that for me Angband is a leisure activity and not a job.

I think ster wanted a Sil-Q comp. Not sure if you'll see that as an argument for or against one

Sil-Q is a worthy inclusion to the competition rotation, IMO.
