Competition 111 is now available from the competition page; it is an Angband 3.3.1 Hobbit Mage.

Note that comp 110 still has a day or so to run.

That only offers 3.1.1; the download page only offers 3.3.0. Direction would be welcome .

Just http://rephial.org. 3.3.1 is on the front page.

OK, and the link is on the competition page now. Seriously, how can one short announcement have so many errors in it?

For some reason this version requires two keypresses for me to move one square. I'm using a win xp machine. Has anyone else ever seen this?

I've this too. But when i press [up] [left] i move diagonal. So my theory about this is that the game checks if you have a Numpad or not (I lack one) and this way I can use my arrow-key as numpad. But it does slow down the game.

Yes, I get the same diagonal move if I press up and then left. It's pretty close to unplayable this way, so no laptop games for me.

I had the same problem. (On Win 7 and Ubuntu 11.04).

What worked for me on both systems, was setting the movement delay to 0. (was set to 2).

OK, my bad again. I don't know why the savefile I started with had a positive movement delay; for normal play, set that to 0.
