That's what happens when you jump first, ask questions later. Thanks a ton!

Might be related or not but the game crashes if you recall the monster information for fountains and statues. You cannot do that in the knowledge menu but it works with the command: /#

edit: Also it seems like I have actually already seen a few monsters deeper than 2500 that I missed when I was looking through the monster list manually. With /^Ap I found a Barbazu(2750) a High Priest of Liart(2700) a chaos Vortex (2650) and a group of Barbed Devils (2600). Still that isn't much for 3500

The game crashed about 50% of the time when entering floors 99/100. After restaring the game, the player was on the new floor anyways

That one at least should be easy to fix.

I tried going back and forth between 98 and 99 detecting in wizmode. There was definetly way less >L50 monsters than there should be (only saw 1 after detecting on the stairs on about 8 different levels), but I never had it crash going to L99.

I think I fixed the monster generation bug (seems to be several bugs with the same cause), and I fixed the bug about recalling info on statues. I'll try to fix the bug in monsters coming back to life and post an update in the next few days. Maybe we can start the competition over?

[EDIT: update: having some trouble finding the cause of the bug with monsters coming back to life.]
[EDIT: update: I think I got that bug now]
[EDIT: fixed a couple other very minor things. ready to release]

That should be possible - just let me know when.

Just got killed by The Boar of Everholt (whoaaah fast) but was almost able to escape since he fell asleep each time I hit him with an unidentified wand of CONFUSE monster, a spell that he resisted. Or is he supposed to fall asleep to balance him?

Edit: Works all the time... Monsters also fall asleep when they are hit by a sleeping bolt and resist the spell o_0

stinkin bugs. Thanks for reporting them. I won't have a chance to look at the code till tomorrow evening, but it sounds like I made a new bug when I was trying to fix an old one. (The old bug was that the sleep spell would wake up sleeping monsters which resisted the spell, and it would say "The X falls asleep" even if the monster was already asleep.)

[EDIT] Okay I found and fixed the bug that sleep affects monsters even if they resist, but I'm still not seeing how a wand of confuse monster was putting a monster to sleep.

Have another one for you, but it is only a minor one Just found a MoD with slay Demon. Since those maces have slay undead all the time it was called:
"Mace of Disruption of Slay Undeadof Slay Demon"

Also the game crashed again but only once so far. I noticed the next level had a potion of multihued poison, but that potion wasn't disguised, so maybe it crashes when creating a new level with one of those.

Edit: It just did NOT crash when recalling to a level with an (again undisguised) multihued poison potion, so that's not it

I've formed the opinion that any RSW effect that is non-damaging puts the monster(s) it effects to sleep. I've seen, while looking at an affected monster (asleep, slowed) or (asleep, confused). I'm not absolutely certain because I wasn't paying close attention to what was happening, just tolerating the effects waiting for a bug fix to come out.

OK, I've pretty convinced now. I've definitely seen (wounded, afraid, asleep, confused). I've also witnessed a dark elf priest put himself to sleep when getting caught in his own area of effect. BTW, I'm still playing 121 (121a, I guess).

Maybe (in your free time) you could add a multiplier to the slowed status like slowed, slowedx2, slowedx3 for enemies that have been slowed multiple times.

Competition 86 has been over for some time, but slacko here forgot to post a result.

Cangratulations to Matthias for winning twice, once with a bug and once without.
