Please explain.... well, never mind. It seems that there's enough that I don't know that I'm going to have to break down and read the help files, they are in English, aren't they?

The submitted savefile had already taken the Wolves quest, which is why you have the quest without having taking it yourself.

I've cleared the whole level, but those Wargs are so fast, and I'm so stealthy, It's possible I missed a couple of them.

Nick, thanks for taking the time to check the ladder, I applicate it.

The other thing is that the only quest I signed up for is Old Man Willow. I guess this is one of those 'princess-type' quests (I think I read that somewhere).

OK. ctrl-q to view quests. It would be nice if there was an in game message.

OK. Finally started this comp. Not only my first crack at Entro but also my first variant without graphics. Surely one of these anonymous letters will kill me but right now I have a different problem. I've descended to level 5 of the Yeek Cave and can't find any more down staircases or Baldor. What am I doing wrong?

yeah, it does have a bit of a learning curve. I would be happy to see the comp extended, but I'm biased!

I have given it two tries myself, and not got past the yeeks. one was a silly death (seeing how fast I could go), the other was to some dark elf mage that was ood and me being out of practice. try #3 coming soon

Then I'm probably just going to stay 1-handed until higher levels and then train it retroactively.

Yes, you can raise skills, but most weapons the max skill will be 4000, which is not that great compared to weapons a ninja favors. Rapiers -- yeah, useful to max those even though you can't cap them at 8000, there are some good artifact ones. Claymores? Forget about it.

Skills like dual wield are also easier to increase if you're a higher level. But you need to use the skill to raise it.

I'd have to check the source, but IIRC, your weapon skills and dual wield skill are reflected in your chardump's to-hit.
