Competition 241 is now available from the competition page; it is a Sil-Q 1.5.0 Noldo from the house of Fingolfin. There is a starting savefile, but feel free to roll your own on angband.live.

I was wondering if I could get a clarification on the rules. The competition post seems to indicate that the two options are to either use the savefile, or to play on angband.live. Would it be acceptable to play offline using Noldor of Fingolfin, but with my own savefile? It's not a huge deal either way, but it would be nice to play offline and still be able to choose my stats and starting abilities.

Yes, any Noldor Fingolfin is acceptable.

I tried a few more characters after the one I submitted, but none of them worked out. I had a good time participating in my first competition though, and it got me back into playing Sil-q regularly after being away for a while.

Thanks! That was definitely a fun ride. Even after the initial Morgoth killing entry, I tried to get better subsequent Morgoth killings which didn't happen
