It's funny because that's a pretty awful shooter otherwise, unless you really need CON. Only an x2 multiplier and poor to-dam means you'll be churning through a hell of a lot of ammo to take advantage of those 4 shots/round. Or 6 shots/round if you're a ranger!

You forgot the random cursed art, which gets all resists, stat boosts and abilities in the game with a few harmless curses that can be removed with *rc*. Had one like that in a recent spoiler file...

interesting that the curses make the aritfact of power 160, which is nothing. wouldn't be surprised if it shows up on DL30 or so.

incidentally, now that we no longer have the "use same randarts" option, if you load a dead character ("new character based on the same one?") do you also get the same set of randarts? do you have to set "generate new randarts" to NO, or YES? or is that option gone forever?

Random shard/sound/chaos/disenchant breath. Basically useless, as chaos will polymorph stuff, and you don't want your almost dead ancient green dragon turn into a fully healed lesser balrog.

Nope, PowerWyrm has the right of it. There's no "balance" element, you just get one of the elements that Balance Drakes/Wyrms can breathe. Ditto with Chaos DSM and Law DSM.

It's Power DSM that activates to breathe "the elements", which is just pure damage. If you look in object.txt, it's listed as doing "MISSILE" element, which I'm pretty sure is the same as what you get from Magic Missile.
