Decided to do a standarts game instead. Cruising around DL19 and wtf... thanc, boots of Radagast, Elvagil, Til-i-arc, WH of west. On a 2-6.

And Phial.

Morgoth falls. Was a bit of a cheek clencher because I lost all my TS charges very early so instead of TS then healing I had to TO then heal up a bit kill the adds before he got back and heal up again. Took quite a lot of consumables but I still had a bit left after the fight. Oh look! the second artifact cloak I have seen all game. And oh look again! the FIRST artifact head piece I have seen all game.

I think I'm going to use the debug command to take a look at those 2 in particular. Either I just got unlucky and never got the drops or they have to have some insane power level.

Oh. Boots too. Only found one artifact boot and it was really early in the game.

And apparently gloves... wtf. Lol looking through my character knowledge I only found 11 artifacts most being weapons.

So. I this set of randarts only 4 artifact headpieces one of which has to be the best one I have ever seen ([9,+17] res base/dark/chaos, pro blind, see invis, telepathy, (+11+9), and <+4> int, con, dex, str, and tunneling so that explains the lack of helmets. The cloks were meh but with some cool activation but the boots... the boots were ridiculous. 6 total artifact boots 5 of them had +10 speed with some very nice activations like TO, TS, haste self, and *healing*. To compliment the weird amount of helmets, There were only 5 hard armors but 9 DSM (a green DSM of resist and protect literally almost everything and with an activation that was Starlight but with lightening balls).

I think I want to play with this set again to see if I can get some of those crazy drops.

Up until the final fights, Mod of Gondolin is hard to beat. Used one as a HE mage, as a way to get EXP fast. Even a Mage can take down Wyrms and giant uniques (as well as undead) with one.

Yes and my "quick visit" was not quick at all. I didn't realize how many high level uniques that were still left on the field. Took quite a lot of PD and TO to get it done but its still done. Going to troll around the level now to clean up the uniques and try to find a better weapon. I had a acid branded weapon for Sauron, but I think I need something with a little more kick for Morgoth (only going to be doing 400 a round against him).

Lmao I know I did that for a long time when I was a kid playing this game. I really didn't have any clue what was going on and just used whatever sounded cool.

Rithril is HUGE.

Just read a DD from town and I appear between two undead pits on DL 95. No real problem. TO the reavers when they tunnel up to me and just hack away at the rest. Kill the reavers when they show back up and now I have a ton of loot to sort through.

Nothing really interesting has happened but I have found some fantastic randarts this game for (almost) no real risks. MOD of Gondolin (+17+20) found lying on the floor, Balance DSM found lying on the floor, 3 rings of power in two different vaults, and I have to ability to have immunity to all base res. All resistances are covered (which seems a real problem with randarts) with no stat swaps and I have 20 speed wearing no ROS.

Farming up some consumables atm then going to pay Sauron a quick visit (and it should be quick).

Once, when I was a total n00b, I got a Shining Dragon Scale Mail from Farmer Maggot. I was so new to the game I never realized it could be activated I thought it was just a cool item that gave me a big AC bonus.

I've seen him 3 times since my last post in this thread and he still is dropping things I leave on the ground; even when I fight him before entering the dungeon for the first time.

BoC? Man, he never drops me anything but "good" items. Best thing he dropped in a looong time that I can remember was a long bow (+3, +2) recently.

I love seeing him that early because he usually will drop a low + weapon or some armor for me. That was defiantly a first.

Damn. Made it to around DL45 VERY quickly. Unfortunately. Step into a room, You hear things appear, something breaths (off screen), dead. I am guessing it was a Q that summoned some dragons. 280hp just doesn't cut it at that level.

LMAO. Farmer Maggot just dropped me BOS +3 Before I even bought a weapon on the new @.
