Bye Bye Smaug Not having too much trouble with the 2000 - 3000 hp monsters, though it taxes the limit of my firepower. Here we see a sleeping Smaug, who is about to die! I'm still working up to killing a Great Hell Wyrm :-) But seriously, this damage output is actually good for a mage type class at this level. The only thing comparable that I can think of is Mana Storm (which is admittedly better), but Mages do not get that until CL45. In the meantime, I've never played a mage/high mage that even considered a Hell Wyrm until the CL40s, when it was generally a sell out to get Armageddon Tome. Also, each Super Ray is almost as deadly as the Mindcrafters Psycho Spear, and that's as good as that class ever gets. So at CL29 I'm dishing out about double the spell damage that Mindcrafter ever will, though Invulnerable monsters need not fear me. But still, if I have to wonder how to kill a Hell Wyrm, then its easy to lose hope. But there is one more offensive spell: Binding Field. I won't give away the details ... those are on the spoiler sight. But it looks quite good, and yes, it too requires some setup. We'll see how it goes! I did consider a Shadow Fairy, but I really wanted the Sprite's speed boost. A good equipment set can provide adequate stealth ... Seen 1668 times. |
