Turgon in trouble I found Ulfang in a room to the south-east and fled from him to the stairs, where I found a group of wargs. I moved to the empty corridor (which I'm now in) and a Distended Spider came out. I ended up in the middle of the room against all of these foes, making many a whirlwind. Sadly I had no free turn to begin singing! With 1 health, I darted towards this tunnel with a warg at my heels. Looking through my inventory I remembered my staff of Warding, risked a turn of attack to use it, then moved down the corridor to safety. Or so I thought! It turned out to be full of shadow worms. I would have been overwhelmed by them (I had only recovered to 2 health so far!) so I traced out another glyph, sat in my hole and started shooting my bow at Ulfang and his retinue. I had them down to half health and myself up to half too when the rune finally broke. I quaffed the potions of Dex and Con as he closed the distance, then slew him in my bolt hole and charged out in a whirlwind of steel to destroy the others and descend towards Morgoth.
