Well, one thing that weaponsmiths are good for is having the right slaying tool all the time. I scummed the bm until I had enough essences to create a bunch of Execute Dragon arrows and off I went. It was fairly close - I think I could have improved my chances had I found some seeker arrows, but he went down pretty easy. And all that at only +16 speed. Here's the big question : how am I going to take on that babble?

Anyone without consistent healing and/or Wall of Stone has a pretty low chance of beating it. But, all the same, here are what you need for a snowball's chance in Hell:

900+ HP, 25+ speed, Fire Immunity, Reflection, RChaos, RoExtraShots, Bow of Extra Shots (or actually, Sling of Extra Shots might work better). With that speed and shots and defense, you should be able to get off maybe 20 shots before you die. On average, maybe 1 of your shots will hit. You'll need something like 4 shots to hit. That's about a 1.3% chance. Unfortunately, it's actually even lower than that, because some arrows will do 0 damage.
