So what would I do if I were you:
Sell all wands except that Ball of Acid Rod (nice!).

intelligence (and poison). Find a ring of Int +3 or better
Try to get to at least +60. +90 is better.

Then you can do Stat gain easily.

1 warning: If you see a SUBERB level, leave.
Don't look back. Just leave.
If you see the balisk, be really careful.
Don't let it get close.
