The game took forever initially, my see_invis came from a holy avenger trident that I only got 2 hits with for forever, so I couldn't switch it out for anything. Was coasting on using 2 decent damage rings, but it just wasn't cutting it.

Initially I was slowed by wanting a complete inventory kit, and had money issues, and then identify issues, then money issues again.

Just kept slowly getting resists and experience using scrolls of deep descent, running from almost everything it seemed. Took forever to find any artifacts, and then even longer to find useful ones.

Game jump-started at 3100' where I got a bunch of artifacts from a poorly defended vault (teleported away the few guys who could give trouble), and was able to switch out to my current artifact broadsword. I actually found a better weapon, the artifact flail in my home, but my sword gives nether resistance and I don't dare drop that for half a second.

Having trouble keeping haste items (got a staff burnt up), and a great storm wyrm I insisted on fighting destroyed all of my teleport other wands, and my int is too low to make practical use out of the few teleport other rods I have at home.

Does the magic store sell tele other wands? The blackmarket decided to stop stocking them.

Somehow I got to 5000' without killing Sauron. I'm not actually sure how I got there, because while I did take a staircase to 4950', I don't recall taking one to 5000'. I just all of a sudden realized Morgoth was right next to me. Been trying to reset my recall, but it's hard going anywhere with Morgoth chasing me.

It didn't take too long to kill him. He dropped my int (unsustained) from 18/*** to 18/130, so he didn't even hit me (with that attack atleast) many times. He kept wasting his actions summoning useless monsters or stuff that I'd tele away. He never mana stormed me once, and only mana bolted once or twice.

It was kind of disapointingly easy, but I *finally* WON!

I dunno what he dropped because as soon as he died some asshole manastormed me destroying all the loot but his hammer and crown, so he didn't drop any other artifacts.

After he died, I killed Gorbag the orc captain, Cantoras the Skeletal Lord, and Quaker, Master of Earth (don't think Morgoth summoned any of those, but I could be wrong). I didn't feel like battling Vecna. I found one artifact scimitar that spawned on the floor, and a Great Wyrm of Balance dropped the Jewel, which was useless. Cantoras dropped an artifact Mithril Shield which was ok but inferior to my current shield.

I haven't retired yet, not sure if I'll start a new character soon, dive to 127 and look for more artifact/kill uniques, or if I'll just stay away from Angband for a while.

btw it was weird, I thought the staircases to 5000' only appear after you kill Sauron, and the staircases to 5050' only appear after you kill Morgoth, this wasn't the case in my game. I technically could've killed Morgoth before Sauron lol.
