... or Elen the Unready...

This is mainly testing out what 3.1 is like. I am definitely not doing that well with my item purchases (forgot item detect last dive), but getting a fair bit of luck in my drops (I think, unless that is part of 3.1).

It's nice to have speed. I find the =oEscaping nice, can still at least try to shoot monsters (nicer if I had a good bow and/or enchant scrolls) and for just wandering around, shortening the number of moves. Diving at a moderate rate, should pick it up.

Nice to have real stealth, speed, and detect (compared to, say, Lucky).

Bukoki yeekburgers

1.5 lb yeek, preferably royal blood
4 cloves garlic
1/2" cube ginger, pealed and minced
1 tsp sugar
4 tbsp soy sauce

1 onion, sliced thinly
1 tbsp slime mold oil
1 tsp slime mold wine
2 tbsp soy sauce

Method:
Using your gauntlets of power (+5), smash the first five ingredients into a fine paste and marinate for at least hour hours.

While meat ins marinating, saute onions (sprinked with salt) until quite shrunken, like Wormtongue's head now. Add wine and boil off alcohol. Add soy sauce and simmer until liquid reduces to shiny green glaze and onions fall apart into a gelatinous cube consistency.

Form and grill yeek burgers to desired doneness. Assemble burgers and slay any family members who get too close.

Hey Morgoth, I went to level 99 like you asked, and am still waiting for my !oCon's. Instead I got ambushed by this Sauron guy, had to eat him and his mini-me Saruman.

Little known culinary tip-- magical use has a way of infusing richness into the caster, and so ancient sorcerors have a potent umami-flavored texture that must be tried to believe.

Angband Dinner Deluxe

2 racks of sorceror spareribs (about 4 lbs, preferrably Sauron)
2 tbsp ork grease
2 medium onions
10 oz. mushrooms of restore CON
2 tsp dried thyme hounds
4 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
1 lb. beans
1 flask wine
4 cups lich broth (I used Feagwath)
4 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp ork grease
3 garlic gloves, minced
1 head cabbage
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Sear ribs on all sides until fragrant. Set aside

In pot, heat ork grease and sorceror fat from ribs. Add onion, mushrooms and cook until onions are golden. Add thyme, garlic and bay leaf and simmer for a couple minutes.

Bring heat on high and add flask of wine, deglazing browned bits off bottom. Add to umami-filled liquid mushroom saoking liquid, beans, and lich broth. Add ribs and bring to boil. Cook until meat is fork tender and beans are done.

Take out two cups of cooking liquid, and wisk in tomato paste. Add rest of solid ingredients, reserving rest of liquid.

Cook cabbage in garlic, ork grease, and cooking liquid. When greens are well soft, combine all ingredeints, add vinegar, and slay any relatives that get too close.

Oh, and still looking for those !oCON before confronting morgoth.

Sadly done in by hubris. Decided to get one more level before going after Morgoth (goal to do it by 260000). Had just gotten Thorin, so got over-confident and decided to take on one of the unique angels with the other a bit further back in the vault. After getting knocked to 389 hp, decided that it was a bad plan, TA the one I was fighting and thought I could sneak away. Uriel awoke and as I was passing by the threshold and breathed.

Ah well...
