My first Z+Angband winner! I killed the Serpent mostly with my Staff of Power, recharging it when needed, and using invulnerability all the time while standing on a Glyph of Warding. It took some time, but I didn't need to heal during the entire fight, other that to get rid of some stun caused by rocketshooting cyberdemons.
