Here's an interesting challenge/experimental class. To go with the role-play, you're only allowed to kill monsters which aren't alive (anything that a wand of drain life doesn't affect). For semi-passafist (slightly more possible), I'd also allow: mushroom patches, molds, jellies, quylthulgs, and mimmics. They advance more than twice as fast as a warrior (because it's much harder to get exp,) and get plenty of exp from the first time casting spells. The hard part is getting the equipment you need to kill those non-living monsters because you start with -10 to-hit (next worst fighting class (mage) starts with +34).

As for Sauron, I'd imagine the same way you usually would, only you'd have to be a lot luckier. It's a challenge game and I'm not one of the best players, so don't ask me. I was wondering if any of the best players out there might be up to the challenge.
